Olugbenga Ayodeji MOKUOLU is a Professor in the Department of Child Health and Paediatrics at the College of Health Sciences, University of Ilorin, Ilorin. He holds the FWACP (Paed) from the West Africa College of Physicians (1995) and the MD from the National Postgraduate Medical College. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Specialties. He was the Head of the Department of Paediatrics, a Sub-Dean, and the pioneer Chair of the University ICT Committee. He was also the Director of the Centre for International Education (2011 – 2014) and Director of Consultancy Services (2014-2017). His current research focuses on newborn care and antimalarial chemotherapy, including the development of vaccines. He successfully supervised 27 medical Fellowship candidates and 2 Ph.D. candidates and continues to supervise Ph.D./MD candidates and Fellowship residents. He was appointed a full Professor in 2011 and has taught full-time for over 30 years. He has over 140 publications in Scientific journals, book chapters, and special conference proceedings.
