Students’ Work

The academic activities of the Department are conducted within two 8-week postings (Junior Paediatric and Senior Paediatric posting). They also participate in a perinatology posting that is run in conjunction with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. They are two End of posting assessments that contribute to the Provisional Assessment. The Final evaluation is conducted as the 3rd Professional MBBS examination.

Student’s Research

During the postings, students are required to conduct 1 case review which are submitted to the department for assessment. These detailed case reviews constitute a part of their assessment. Our students are however members of student led research group under the mentorship of Faculties that have vast experience in clinical and medical research

Awards

  • The Department provides an award for the best student in Paediatrics and child health which is awarded at the Annual Departmental Get-together.
